When writing a treatment for my thriller opening I looked to many movies for inspiration. One movie that I saw which particularly swayed the making of my treatment was The Sixth Sense movie directed by M Night Shyamalan. This movie is not strictly a thriller, however I feel that it does have some traits of a thriller movie. The movie is a chilling horror movie of a child who is given the gift of seeing the dead. The budget of the movie was 40,000,000 and on its opening weekend made 26,000,000. In total it grossed 293,000,000 making the movie a very successful hit.
