Thriller day 3

Improving my opening

Today in media Mo and I both worked on improving are thriller opening (josh was ill therefore did not attend the lesson). We wanted the film to uphold its integrity for Josh due to the opening being his idea and so didn't change the opening to drastically without his approval. We wanted to give the thriller opening a more enigmatic and mysterious quality to do this  We have improved our opening by introducing parallel editing to the opening, the parallel editing  reveals small snippets of the troubled boy's past whilst referring back to the presents time in the opening. It has given the opening a better thriller essence and should leave the audience in question.

Legend - Brian Helgeland

Image resultOne movie that I recently watched was Legend directed Brian Helgeland and is a Working Tile production. The movie was released in November 2015. The story about the two notorious British Gangster's (Ronald and Reggie Kray) gives us a fascinating insight to gangs in London  around 1969.  Tom Hardy did an excellent job as playing the two twins portraying the two psychotic characters as best possible. The budget for Legend was at 30,000,000 and in total grossed 585,000,000. The movie won a a British independent film ward meaning that it was an UK independent film. The movie had a lot of competition when it came out competing with movies such as The Theory of Everything and Star Wars.
